Description:
The viola is a fascinating instrument, and Primrose's supreme art. Although the CD jacket, manual, and disc clearly state "GENUINE STEREO (authentic stereo)," the original is monaural in terms of its age. This album is a collection of rare recordings by Primrose, a master musician who made the viola recognized as a leading instrument. Mozart and Berlioz were recorded by RCA, while Walton was recorded by EMI. Walton is conducted by the composer himself, and Bartk by the compositor. King International
